Preschool Teacher

In this role, you will design engaging lesson plans, support children's social and emotional growth, and collaborate with families to ensure each child's success. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes literacy, math, physical education, and social skills in line with early childhood education standards.
  • Create a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies.
  • Support children’s emotional well-being by applying early intervention techniques and understanding childhood development milestones.
  • Plan and execute daily activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and physical activity, including teaching physical education and Montessori methods where applicable.
  • Maintain detailed records of student progress, including assessments aligned with standardized testing where necessary.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to discuss developmental progress, behavioral concerns, and classroom updates.
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive environment that supports child welfare and respects diverse backgrounds through attentive childcare practices.

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is essential.
  • Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management.
  • Knowledge of special education needs, early intervention strategies, and childhood development principles.
  • Experience with Montessori teaching methods or other specialized early childhood education approaches is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and families.
  • Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and tutoring techniques for young learners.
  • Previous private school or daycare experience enhances your candidacy; certification in early childhood education is preferred. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
