The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education and helping students reach their full potential. You bring strong creative and problem-solving skills, enjoy building meaningful connections with students, and are committed to creating an engaging, supportive classroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Be in charge of daily classroom activities
- Supervise children to ensure a safe, positive, and engaging environment indoors and outdoors
- Assist children with developing social and emotional skills
- Assist children with daily routines, including snacks, cleanup, and transitions
- Encourage social, emotional, and early developmental skills
- Help maintain a clean and organized classroom
- Communicate with parents and other school personnel
- Provide support during nap time
- Creating weekly lesson plans
Qualifications
- 12 child development unit's minimum required
- CPR/First Aid certification required
- Background check required
- Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor
- Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
- Problem-solving and mediation skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual
