Job Overview

Sprouting Minds Childcare Center is seeking a nurturing, dependable, and creative Preschool Teacher to join our growing team! This role involves working with children ages 3 to 5 years in a structured, engaging, and supportive classroom environment.

The ideal candidate will foster a positive and responsive atmosphere that promotes kindergarten readiness, including early academic skills, social-emotional development, and independence. This role focuses on creating a balance of structured learning and play-based experiences while maintaining consistent routines and strong communication with families.

We are looking for candidates with 2+ years of experience, but we are happy to train the right person who has a genuine passion for early childhood education and a willingness to grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities
• Support early learning in areas such as letters, numbers, shapes, colors, and social skills
• Create a structured yet engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity
• Prepare children for kindergarten by promoting independence, problem-solving, and routine
• Use positive guidance strategies to support behavior and social-emotional growth
• Communicate daily with parents about their child’s progress and classroom activities, via Brightwheel and in-person
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Follow all state licensing and center policies
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth classroom operations

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (CDA or early childhood coursework is a plus)
• 2+ years of childcare experience preferred (preschool experience strongly preferred)
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire)
• Ability to lead a classroom and actively engage with children throughout the day
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
• Patient, creative, and reliable personality
• Must pass background check and meet all state licensing requirements
