Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children. This role involves developing and implementing engaging curriculum, managing classroom dynamics, and supporting the holistic development of each child.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that fosters early literacy, math skills, and physical education.
- Create lesson plans that incorporate various teaching methods, including Montessori techniques, to cater to diverse learning styles.
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a positive learning environment through effective behavior management strategies.
- Provide individualized support for children with special needs and implement early intervention strategies as necessary.
- Foster communication with parents regarding their child's progress and development while maintaining a strong partnership with families.
- Conduct assessments and standardized testing to monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment that promotes child welfare and encourages exploration.
- Collaborate with other educators to enhance the educational experience through shared resources and ideas.
Requirements
- Early Childhood Education or related field preferred. (12 units minimum)
- Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices, including literacy education, toddler care, and behavior management.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management is essential.
- Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention techniques is a plus.
- Ability to create an inclusive environment that supports all learners, including those requiring tutoring or additional assistance.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.50 per hour
