Infant Nanny and Family Assistant | Full-Time Heights Role

Location: The Heights, 77008
Start Date: April 9, 2026
Commitment: 6 months to 1 year, based on your preference. Open to longer-term for candidates interested in transitioning into a Nanny Manager role after 1 year
Schedule: Alternating 38 and 47.5 hours/week

  • Week 1 (47.5 hours): Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Week 2 (38 hours): Monday – Thursday, 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM (open to 40 - 42 hours/week for a candidate interested in date nights)

Compensation: $27 - $33/hour + overtime

Salary Equivalent: $62,650 - $78,290

  • 9-Month-Old Girl: A happy, social baby who enjoys outings, eats well, and is ready for a nanny who will keep her days active and engaging.
  • 4-Year-Old Boy (He is in full-time preschool and afterschool care. Primary care is for their infant)
  • An energetic preschooler who loves dinosaurs, imaginative play, and family outings around Houston.

About the Role:

This Heights family is hiring a full-time nanny to focus primarily on their infant daughter’s care and development. Their ideal caregiver enjoys building a steady routine around naps, meals, play, and outings, and feels confident creating a warm, responsive environment for a baby who is curious and social.

The family values respectful parenting, independence, and child-led learning. They are looking for someone who can plan engaging infant activities, support developmental progress, and also contribute to the home through child-related tasks and a few household support responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create developmentally appropriate play and outing plans
  • Support baby-led weaning
  • Wash and organize bottles and feeding items
  • Keep the kitchen reset, including dishes, counters, dish towels, and trash
  • Prepare meals for the parents a couple of days per week

Ideal Candidate:

A professional infant nanny with strong judgment, a calm presence, and genuine enthusiasm for this stage of development. You are organized, engaging, and confident taking the lead with infant routines while staying responsive to the child’s cues.

This family will be drawn to someone who enjoys getting out of the house, values Montessori-inspired care, and can bring consistency and initiative to each day. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of professional childcare experience with infants and toddlers
  • Comfortable providing sick care
  • Able to occasionally care for the preschooler during breaks, holidays, and sick day
  • Comfortable using your own vehicle for outings and transporting the children when needed
  • Background in or appreciation for Montessori or child-led learning
  • COVID-19 vaccination required unless exempt for a documented medical reason

Pay: $62,650.00 - $78,290.00 per year
