Preschool/Prek Lead Teacher

Preschool / Pre-K Teacher – Painesville Christian Academy

Painesville Christian Academy is seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable Preschool/Pre-K Teacher to join our growing team! We are looking for someone passionate about early childhood education who can create a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment while supporting children academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

Responsibilities:

• Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and classroom activities
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
• Support children in daily routines, social development, and positive behavior guidance
• Communicate professionally with families regarding child progress and classroom updates
• Follow all Ohio childcare licensing and Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) requirements
• Work collaboratively with administration and fellow teachers
• Conduct classroom assessments and developmental observations as required
• Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, rest time, and transitions
• Encourage creativity, learning, and kindergarten readiness through hands-on activities

Qualifications:

• Experience working with preschool or pre-k children preferred
• CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, or related experience preferred
• Ability to pass background checks and meet Ohio licensing requirements
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Reliable, positive, and team-oriented attitude
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
