Position: Prevention Education Specialist
Agency Description: Mercer Family Resource Center is a non-profit social agency dedicated to serving youth and families in Natrona County. Our primary mission is to strengthen and support families, with a special emphasis on adolescent issues and the prevention of substance abuse. We achieve our program goals through information dissemination, community education and consultation, provision of youth alternatives, community partnerships, and short-term counseling services focused on early intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
· Support Specific Initiatives: Support or work within various initiatives, including offering prevention education, social-emotional (anger management) programs, Natrona County Prevention Coalition, Youth Empowerment Council, Child in Need of Supervision (CHINS), Natrona County School District, and the Suicide Prevention Task Force.
· Program Facilitation: Facilitate programs with fidelity to the curriculum, maintain program documentation, and provide timely program assessments.
· Marketing and Fundraising: Assist with marketing, fundraising, events, and volunteer coordination for programs offered by Mercer Family Resource Center.
· Client Satisfaction and Reporting: Administer client satisfaction surveys, complete all program documentation, and adhere to grant reporting requirements.
· Strategic Planning Participation: Attend weekly staff meetings and participate in assigned subcommittees and task groups to further strategic planning and the agency's mission.
· Consultative Services: Provide consultative services in areas relevant to agency services to individuals, families, community groups, school personnel, and other social service agencies as needed.
· Additional Duties: Carry out duties and responsibilities as assigned by the executive director in a timely and professional manner.

Working Conditions:
· Part-time position, 20 hours per week.
· Office-based with some travel to program sites as needed.
Pay and Benefits:
· Pay Range: $15,000-$20,000 per year, commensurate with experience
· Benefits: Paid time off and professional development opportunities.
Travel Requirements:
· Occasional travel within the county and state of Wyoming for meetings, events, and conferences. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are necessary.
Physical Demands:
