General Summary

The Pricing and Sourcing Coordinator is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing pricing across Santmyer’s fuel delivery services and retail fuel pricing for our 9 Red Rover pump stations. This role supports margin management, customer contract pricing, cost updates, and financial analysis across all product lines and delivery regions. The Pricing and Sourcing Coordinator ensures accurate and timely pricing based on supplier costs, freight, operational inputs, and market conditions. This position works closely with Sales, Dispatch, Customer Service, and Finance to support pricing strategy, competitive bids, and profitability goals. Strong analytical capability, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to manage time‑sensitive pricing activities in a fast‑moving environment are essential.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

  • Support all pricing activities for fuel programs, including customer requests for quotation and contract renewals.
  • Maintain accurate supplier costs, freight rates, and delivery zone pricing
  • Analyze product margins, customer profitability, and pricing trends
  • Prepare pricing proposals, quotes, commercial bids, municipal bids, and fleet contract pricing
  • Monitor OPIS/Platts indexes, rack pricing, and competitive market conditions to ensure pricing accuracy and market alignment.
  • Collaborate with Supply to understand daily/weekly cost changes and their impact on pricing and margins.
  • Communicate pricing updates and changes to Sales, Customer Service, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain customer pricing databases and ensure alignment with financial and strategic goals.
  • Provide reporting and analytics on sales, margin, freight, and product performance to support decision‑making.
  • Identify pricing opportunities to improve profitability and recommend strategic adjustments.
  • Understand delivery capabilities, routing constraints, tank sizes, and operational cost variables that influence pricing.
  • Ensure pricing integrity across all regions and product lines while maintaining compliance with internal policies.
  • Take initiative in identifying and resolving pricing issues, discrepancies, or cost anomalies.
  • Develop and maintain expert‑level knowledge of Santmyer’s product offerings, pricing methodologies, and market dynamics.

  • Ability to clearly present pricing information, analysis, and recommendations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience.
  • Two to four years of experience in fuel distribution, logistics, transportation, or related industry preferred; experience with pricing or financial analysis strongly preferred.
  • Experience in PDI Enterprises a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; strong skills in MS Word and Access.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage tight timelines, and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong work ethic, self‑motivation, and commitment to learning and growth.
  • Ability to make independent, fact‑based decisions quickly and accurately.
  • Experience with pricing optimization, modeling, or margin analysis in a distribution or energy environment preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments while also contributing independently.
