Sanova Medical Group is a rapidly growing, patient-centered primary care practice serving the Tucson community. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team at our Grant Road clinic.

Position Summary

The Primary Care Provider will deliver comprehensive outpatient primary care services for patients in the 18-year-old and above age range. This includes preventive care, chronic disease management, acute illness evaluation, health maintenance, and coordination of specialty care.

The ideal candidate is confident practicing independently, communicates effectively with patients and staff, embraces technology, and is committed to providing exceptional patient care.

Schedule

  • Full-Time (40 hours/week)
  • Monday through Friday
  • Daytime hours
  • In-person position

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services in an outpatient setting.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Perform annual wellness visits, preventive health screenings, and routine physical examinations.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on current evidence-based guidelines.
  • Order and interpret laboratory studies, imaging, and diagnostic testing.
  • Prescribe medications and manage ongoing medication therapy.
  • Manage chronic diseases including diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, COPD, asthma, thyroid disorders, and other common primary care conditions.
  • Perform minor in-office procedures within scope of practice.
  • Coordinate referrals to specialists and collaborate with other healthcare providers.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Review laboratory and imaging results and communicate findings with patients.
  • Promote preventive medicine and patient education.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and practice development.

QualificationsRequired

  • Current Arizona Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
  • DEA registration.
  • National board certification.
  • Ability to practice independently within Arizona regulations and collaborative practice requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong clinical decision-making and diagnostic abilities.
  • Ability to efficiently manage patient schedules while maintaining high-quality care.
  • Professional, dependable, and patient-focused.

Preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years of outpatient primary care experience.
  • Experience with Medicare Annual Wellness Visits.
  • Experience managing chronic disease populations.
  • Experience with preventive care and value-based care initiatives.
  • BLS certification.
  • Able to manage seeing 20+ patients per day.
  • Strong longer-term patient follow up skills.

Technology Requirements

Candidates should be comfortable utilizing multiple technology platforms, including:

  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets)
  • E-Prescribing platforms
  • Electronic laboratory and imaging systems
  • Telehealth technology when applicable

Pay: From $130,000.00 per year
