Qualification & Background
Graduate in English (mandatory)
B.Ed (mandatory)
Convent school background is mandatory
, with sound exposure to English-medium instruction
Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in a reputed English-medium / convent school
Key Responsibilities
Academic & Teaching Responsibilities
Plan and deliver
age-appropriate English lessons
aligned with board curriculum (ICSE/CBSE as applicable)
Develop students’
reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills
with emphasis on phonics, grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension
Use
convent-style pedagogy
: structured lesson delivery, correct pronunciation, and disciplined classroom practices
Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, and teaching aids as per school guidelines
Conduct regular assessments, class tests, and evaluations; maintain assessment records
Ensure proper correction of notebooks with constructive feedback
Classroom Management
Maintain
discipline, decorum, and moral values
in line with convent school culture
Create a positive, child-friendly, and inclusive learning environment
Encourage confidence, public speaking, and good communication habits among students
Communication & Language Standards
Maintain
excellent spoken and written English
at all times in school premises
Model correct language usage, etiquette, and presentation
Interact effectively with parents during PTMs regarding academic progress
Documentation & Administrative Work
Maintain lesson planners, attendance registers, assessment records, and student portfolios
Prepare report card remarks and academic observations
Support school activities, assemblies, competitions, and English-related events
Professional Conduct
Adhere strictly to school policies, code of conduct, and safeguarding norms
Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and academic workshops
Demonstrate punctuality, professionalism, and commitment to institutional values
