Teachers also collaborate with colleagues, attend professional development, and mentor students, guiding their holistic development in their early years of education.
Key Responsibilities
- Lesson Planning & Delivery: Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans for core subjects like reading, math, and science to meet educational standards.
- Classroom Management: Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment by establishing classroom rules and encouraging good behavior.
- Assessment & Feedback: Monitor student progress, assess their work, and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
- Student Development: Nurture students' academic, social, and emotional growth, fostering a love for learning and essential life skills.
- Communication: Maintain strong relationships with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and collaborating on their development.
- Collaboration: Work with other teachers, teaching assistants, and professionals to develop curriculum, share best practices, and support colleagues.
- Professional Development: Participate in workshops and conferences to stay updated on educational best practices, curriculum changes, and teaching strategies.
- Safety & Well-being: Ensure students are safe and that all safeguarding measures are followed, working with parents and social workers when necessary.
