Job Title: Primary Teacher (PRT)

Job Summary:

The Primary Teacher (PRT) is responsible for teaching students from Grades 1 to 5, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting their academic, social, and emotional development in alignment with the school’s curriculum and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach core subjects such as English, Mathematics, Environmental Studies (EVS), and General Knowledge to primary grade students.
  • Develop and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans based on the school’s curriculum.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Create a supportive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that encourages student participation.
  • Monitor and assess student performance through classwork, assignments, tests, and observation.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and academic performance.
  • Prepare report cards and participate in parent-teacher meetings to discuss student development.
  • Encourage students in developing good habits, discipline, and respect for others.
  • Integrate technology and digital tools into classroom teaching where applicable.
  • Participate in school activities such as assemblies, events, and celebrations.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create interdisciplinary learning experiences.
  • Maintain classroom discipline and address behavioral issues promptly and positively.
  • Stay updated with latest NEP Guidelines.
  • Take part in training programs, workshops, and staff meetings as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with B.Ed. (Primary Education specialization preferred).
  • Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience at the primary level.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Strong understanding of child-centric teaching approaches and foundational learning.
  • Ability to foster a positive and nurturing learning environment.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching aids, digital tools, and activity-based learning.
