WSP is hiring a Principal Project Controller to join our Properties and Buildings team.
In this leadership role, you will play a key part in enhancing project delivery through the use of advanced tools, data analysis, and strategic oversight. Your expertise will help improve efficiency, ensure transparency, and support informed decision-making across complex building and property projects.

As a member of the Properties and Buildings team, you will have the opportunity to apply your academic background and professional experience to high-impact projects.
You will be expected to manage multiple priorities, meet demanding deadlines, and maintain exceptional standards of quality. Through structured mentorship and continuous skill development, you will accelerate your professional growth and gain valuable industry knowledge.


  • Work with multidisciplinary teams of Project Managers, Engineers, Designers, and Contract Administrators, Sub-Consultants, and other staff as required.
  • Provide project oversight and governance and establish an interface with Clients and our internal Project Controls Team.
  • Perform project management and controls like budgeting, cost management, Forecasting, Earned Value Management, contract administration, invoicing, Change management and risk management tasks.
  • Work with Primavera P6 scheduling program to prepare engineering and procurement schedules, Plan sequence of operations, develop the baselines to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet completion deadlines, perform labor forecasting and levelling, identify the critical path, delay analysis, revise schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Implement and execute methods for effective progress measurement based on the size and complexity of a project develop and implement earned value systems that accurately measure project progress and performance.
  • Ensure that the Project Execution Plans, Financial Forecasting, Resource Plans and Schedules are prepared, managed and updated as necessary.
  • Present operational information to senior management in a clear, concise, and confident manner, with the goal of aligning them to WSP’s growth strategy.
  • Assist in preparing reporting packages for project, sponsorship and executive review teams.
  • Expertise in creating data visualizations such as charts, graphs, and tables. Ability to clean, transform, validate, and model data to derive meaningful insights for decision-making using MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, Power BI
  • Capability to develop in-house applications for automating the tasks related to Project Management and project operations and reporting.

  • A master’s degree in engineering, or Project Management / Construction Management is preferred.
  • 12 -15 years of relevant experience in Project Controls.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Project Controls experience on Major and Complex multidisciplinary projects.
  • Strong skills Primavera 6 (P6), Microsoft Project and Advance Excel
  • Power Bi, Power Bi DAX, Power Apps. SQL, SharePoint, ERP System, Power Query, , Advance Excel.
  • Ability to work on several projects or tasks concurrently, manage time, organize, and set priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, as the role requires continuous interaction with team members.
  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal, including report writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills are a must.
