Print Production Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Print Production Assistant to join our vibrant creative team. Responsibilities

• Prepare digital files for printing by performing prepress tasks such as layout setup, color management, and proofing using Corel.
• Operate and maintain various printing equipment including Mimaki roll to roll printer, Mimaki Flatbed printer, Mimaki plotter, large format laminator, and CNC machine, and to produce high-quality prints.
• Manage color consistency across different print runs by applying proper color management techniques and calibrating equipment regularly.
• Assist with layout design and typography adjustments to ensure visual appeal and clarity in printed materials.
• Conduct quality control inspections throughout the production process to identify and resolve issues related to print quality, alignment, or material defects.
• Support manufacturing operations by operating machinery such as CNC routers or machining tools when necessary.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and ensure all safety protocols are followed.

Experience

• Prior experience in print production or manufacturing environments is highly preferred but will train the right person.
• Hands-on knowledge of printing techniques and prepress processes is a plus.
• Familiarity with color management systems and layout design principles is a plus.
• Proficiency with Corel for preparing print-ready files is a plus.
• Experience operating Mimaki printers, CNC machinery, or machining tools will be considered an asset.
• Basic understanding of typography, print advertising standards, and quality control procedures is important.
• Certification or training in forklift operation or safety protocols related to manufacturing environments is a plus. Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
