TITLE: Printed Circuit Board Layout Designer (ECAD) (US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED)
RATE RANGE: $60/hr - $80/hr W2 (no health benefits/NO PTO while on contract, an hour worked is an hour paid)
CLEARANCE: US Citizenship required. No Clearance
LOCATION: REMOTE/Bloomington, MN

RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will perform detailed layout design and documentation of printed circuit boards under direction from a team of electrical and mechanical engineers
You will work from schematics, part lists, and basic description of the board function, constraints, configuration, and arrangement as defined by the team of electrical and mechanical engineers
You will use the Siemens/Mentor Graphics Xpedition toolset, including Layout, Valor, DRC Hazard Checker, Constraint Editor/Constraint Manager (CES), Drawing Editor, and other related tools
You will create electronic library symbols, geometry, footprints, etc
You will run Valor and DRC Hazard checks to ensure your work is error-free and the design will meet expectations
You will check drawings against the project inputs for correctness and conformance to standard engineering drafting practices and standards

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Ideal candidates demonstrate a passion for innovation, teamwork, and a strong sense of ownership.
The ideal candidate also has extensive experience designing HDI printed circuit/wiring boards for high-speed designs
Well versed in MIL and IPC Standards
Familiar with the current Siemens/Mentor Graphics tools including Xpedition Design and Layout, Valor (artwork checking tool), Constraint Editor/Constraint Manager (CES), and Drawing Editor.

EDUCATION REQUIRED
Associate's degree or equivalent
