Job Summary

Labtek Consumable Supplies LLC is a leading UAE-based trading house and key distributor of SATO label printers, specializing in labeling and packaging solutions for the QSR, hospitality, retail, and commercial sectors.
In addition to SATO, we deal in other major brands such as Zebra, Honeywell, and TSC printers and scanners, offering end-to-end printing and labeling solutions that support industrial, logistics, and food service operations across the UAE.
We are now expanding our technical team and seeking a skilled Printer & Scanner Technician to handle installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of our range of printers and scanners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain barcode/label printers and scanners (SATO, Zebra, TSC, Honeywell, etc.)
  • Diagnose hardware and software issues; perform repairs and calibrations
  • Set up communication interfaces (USB, RS232, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth)
  • Integrate printers/scanners with ERP, WMS, or POS systems
  • Install firmware, drivers, and label design software (BarTender, NiceLabel, etc.)
  • Support AIDC technologies – barcode, RFID, and automation scripts (ZPL, SBPL, TSPL, Lua)
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support and user training
  • Maintain service logs and preventive maintenance schedules

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s in Electronics / Electrical / Computer / Mechatronics Engineering
  • 2–3 years of experience in printer/scanner installation and field servicing
  • Hands-on experience with barcode & RFID technologies
  • Good understanding of label design software and communication protocols
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle field service tasks across UAE
  • Strong understanding of label printing languages (ZPL, SBPL, TSPL, ESC/POS)
  • Familiar with Windows networking, driver setup, and data communication protocols

Soft Skills

  • Excellent in Time mamangement & analytical and troubleshooting ability.
  • Strong communication and customer handling skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage field assignments
  • Documentation and reporting proficiency
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours when required
