Printing & Processing Manager (Textile Industry)

Job Purpose

To oversee and manage all activities of textile printing and processing departments, ensuring production targets, quality standards, customer requirements, and delivery timelines are achieved efficiently.

Key Responsibilities1. Production Management

• Plan, organize, and control daily printing & processing operations.
• Ensure smooth workflow from grey fabric receipt to finished fabric dispatch.
• Allocate manpower and resources effectively to achieve production targets.
• Monitor machine performance, efficiency, and downtime.

2. Quality Assurance

• Ensure all processes meet required quality specifications and buyer standards.
• Implement process checks at each stage (pre-treatment, printing, finishing).
• Coordinate with QA team to reduce defects, shade variations, and rejections.
• Ensure proper handling of chemicals, dyes, and printing pastes as per SOPs.
• Achieve 95% Fresh & 3% B + R Target.

3. Process Control & Improvement

• Continuously improve process parameters for better quality and cost efficiency.
• Monitor recipe accuracy, temperature, pressure, and machine settings.
• Review reasons for rework and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

4. Team Management

• Supervise supervisors and supporting staff in printing and processing.
• Train team on company provided SOPs, and quality standards.
• Evaluate staff performance and take disciplinary actions where necessary.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate in textile.
• More than 10 years of experience in textile printing and processing operations.
• Strong knowledge of dying, rotary, flatbed, digital printing, and finishing machines.
• Expertise in dyes, chemicals, and production recipes.
• Leadership, problem-solving, and team-handling skills.
• Strong communication and reporting abilities.
• Color Matching Expertise.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Production output vs. target.
• First-time-right quality percentage (95% + 3%)
• Rejection/rework rate.
• On-time order completion.
