Private Newborn Night Nurse Position

PRN- Must be able to work 2+ nights a week during our busy months. This is a flexible position meaning you can chose which nights per week work for you.

Qualifications: Registered Nurse or LPN with active license, at least 2 years of related clinical experience, current infant CPR/BLS certification and must pass a criminal background check

  • NICU, L&D, Mother/Baby or Pediatric Nursing 1 years experience (required)
  • BLS Certification (Required)
  • RN License (Required)

Compensation: $28

Job Description:

  • This is a 1099 position and you will be considered an Independent Contractor.
  • You will be required to hold professional liability insurance and proof of insurance will need to be submitted before any job placement is confirmed.
  • Shift 8/9 hours. Typically, 10p-6a
  • The Newborn Night Nurse will:
  • Provide Clients with evidence based education and newborn support.
  • Provide total infant care. Feeding, changing, rocking, soothing, bottle preparation, assistance with basic breastfeeding or pumping support.
  • If client is pumping night nurse will assist with picking up and properly storing milk.
  • Clean all bottles and pumping supplies.
  • Provide families with a detailed record of infant care.
  • Provide families with evidence-based education and support when assisting with their newborn.
  • I will do an in-home consultation before each contracted assignment in order to verify safety and cleanliness of home.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, PRN

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Newborn Nursing: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

  • BLS Certification (Required)
