Private practice, Financial Therapist, LCSW

Are you passionate about helping people break free from financial stress and rewrite their money stories? At Freedom Life Therapy and Wellness, we’re redefining how people experience financial wellness. We’re looking for a Financial therapist who can support clients in understanding their financial habits, identifying limiting beliefs, and creating action-based plans that align with their values.

As a Financial therapist, you’ll join a dynamic and supportive team that centers emotional wellness and money healing. You will provide one-on-one and group financial therapy sessions that focus on the emotional, behavioral, and practical side of money. This position combines therapeutic coaching, education, and mindset work to help clients create lasting change in their financial lives.

This is a hybrid role with a mix of in-person and virtual sessions. Must be willing to work in person when asked.

Compensation is based upon license level.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide individual and group financial therapy sessions focused on improving financial well-being and mindset.
  • Help clients explore their money stories, limiting beliefs, and financial behaviors.
  • Support clients in setting values-aligned goals and developing step-by-step financial action plans.
  • Educate clients on key financial literacy topics (budgeting, debt repayment, savings strategies, credit education, etc.)
  • Maintain clear and timely documentation of client sessions and progress.
  • Deliver at least 15 billable hours per week.
  • Collaborate with the team and participate in ongoing training and group consultation.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical financial counseling and coaching standards.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Must have a licensible master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field .
  • AFC®, CFT-I™, or other financial counseling certifications preferred or willingness to pursue one with support from us.
  • Strong interpersonal and reflective listening skills.
  • Experience or interest in trauma-informed work, emotional wellness, and mindset coaching.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-centered culture.
  • Warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental approach to supporting clients.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $36.85 - $75.75 per hour
