- Manage all government-related transactions for the company and employees, including residence permits, work visas, health cards, and other official documents.
- Submit, renew, and follow up on documentation with relevant authorities such as the Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Interior, Immigration Department, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and Civil Defense.
- Monitor and coordinate document expiration and renewals in collaboration with the HR department.
- Oversee sponsorship transfer procedures (“Transfer of Service”) as per legal requirements.
- Ensure strict adherence to Qatar’s labor and immigration laws and internal company policies.
- Represent the company in meetings and visits to government offices when required.
- Support the resolution of employee complaints and labor-related issues in coordination with the legal department.
- Prepare and maintain accurate reports on legal processes and transaction status.
- Build and sustain positive relationships with government officials to ensure efficient processing and issue resolution.
- Provide comprehensive legal advice and counsel to senior management and various business units on complex legal matters
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements, including commercial transactions, partnerships, and licensing agreements
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support decision-making processes and mitigate legal risks
- Manage and oversee corporate governance matters, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations
- Collaborate with external counsel on litigation matters and dispute resolution processes
- Develop and implement legal strategies to support the organization's business objectives
- Monitor and analyze changes in Qatar's legal landscape and international business law, providing updates and recommendations to relevant stakeholders
- Lead legal training sessions for employees to enhance understanding of legal requirements and best practices
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of a high school diploma; a university degree is preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of proven experience in a similar role within Qatar.
- Strong knowledge of Qatar’s labor laws, immigration systems, and sponsorship regulations.
- Excellent command of government portals and e-services (e.g., Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Labour, Wage Protection System ).
- Fluent in Arabic spoken and written.
- Must hold a valid Qatari driving license.
