Senior Litigation lawyer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Litigation Lawyer with 10+ years of experience in the Middle East to lead complex disputes across local courts and international arbitration forums. The role requires deep familiarity with regional legal frameworks, strong advocacy skills, and the ability to manage multi-jurisdictional matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage litigation cases before local courts (civil, commercial, labor, and regulatory)
  • Handle disputes under regional legal systems, including civil law and Sharia-influenced frameworks where applicable
  • Represent clients in arbitration proceedings (e.g., DIAC, QICCA, ICC) and enforcement actions
  • Develop case strategies, legal opinions, and risk assessments for high-value disputes
  • Draft and review pleadings, memoranda, submissions, and settlement agreements (Arabic and English where required)
  • Liaise with local counsel, court experts, and government authorities
  • Manage cross-border disputes and coordinate with international legal teams
  • Advise corporate clients on dispute avoidance, compliance, and regulatory risks
  • Negotiate settlements and oversee alternative dispute resolution processes
  • Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and legal staff

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • LLB from a recognized institution (LLM preferred)
  • Qualified lawyer with admission in a recognized jurisdiction (local or international)
  • Minimum 10+ years of litigation experience, with substantial time in the Middle East
  • Strong knowledge of local court procedures and enforcement mechanisms
  • Experience in arbitration (ICC, LCIA, DIAC, QICCA or similar)
  • Fluency in English required; Arabic strongly preferred (often essential for court litigation)
  • Proven ability to manage high-value, complex disputes

Preferred Experience: 10+ years experience is a must

  • Experience in sectors such as construction, energy, infrastructure, banking, or real estate
  • Familiarity with government-related disputes and regulatory bodies
  • Experience with enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards in the region
  • Must Speak Arabic and English ( billingual)
