Position Overview

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) is responsible for managing the public image of the organization and maintaining strong relationships with media, stakeholders, and the community. The role involves developing communication strategies, handling press releases, organizing events, and ensuring the company maintains a positive reputation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective public relations and communication strategies.
  • Draft, review, and distribute press releases, speeches, articles, and other PR materials.
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, media outlets, and influencers.
  • Organize press conferences, promotional events, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities.
  • Monitor media coverage and provide regular reports on public perception and reputation.
  • Manage crisis communication and ensure timely, transparent responses.
  • Support internal communications to ensure employees are informed and engaged.
  • Represent the organization in official functions, government interactions, and external events.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (2–5 years) as a PR Officer, Communications Specialist, or similar role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and event management abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
  • Familiarity with media platforms, digital communication tools, and social media trends.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
