Digestive Care Center is looking for a Procedure Scheduler to schedule procedures for physicians in the endoscopy center and area hospitals. Will also provide coverage for the recall coordinator and the endoscopy centers as needed.
What You Need for this Position:
- High school Diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical office experience preferred.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Accurately enters data into all practice management software applications.
- Accommodates provider scheduling preferences.
- Efficiently schedules patient appointments, diagnostic tests, procedures and lab tests as ordered by providers.
- Completes all diagnostic and lab referrals accurately when scheduling tests, including ICD-10 codes & diagnosis.
- Schedules patients in appropriate facility based on patient preference and insurance coverage.
- Initiates referrals to outside physicians and ancillary facilities.
- Documents all notes and communication so other staff members can handle follow-up calls. Uses consistent terminology & diagnosis in all software applications.
