Process Design Engineer

This role seeks a B.E./B.Tech Chemical Engineer with 5-10 years of experience in process design for large industrial facilities, preferably in Chemical, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Fertilizer, or similar industrial projects.

The Process Design Engineer will be responsible for:

• Developing Process Datasheets for major process equipment including pumps, storage tanks, reactors, vessels, heat exchangers, columns, and specialized filtration/drying equipment.

• Preparing Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).

• Performing key engineering calculations such as:
  

  • Hydraulic line sizing & pump head
  • Flare network calculations
  • Heat exchanger design using HTRI
  • Relief valve sizing in line with applicable codes
  • Surge analysis

• Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure process integrity and design compliance across project phases.

Preferred Skills & Tools

• Experience with international design standards: ASME, API, TEMA, NFPA, OSHA

• Software proficiency: HTRI, Aspen HYSYS, AFT Fathom, AFT Impulse

• Working knowledge of E3D / Navisworks / Aveva P&ID

• Strong skills in MS Office

Certification Requirement

• Valid Professional Engineer (PE) Certification - Saudi Council of Engineers
