Job Summary
As a Process Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing manufacturing processes and enhancing product quality within our dynamic production environment. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure that our operations align with industry standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions that elevate efficiency and effectiveness, making a significant impact on our manufacturing facility's success.

What you’ll do

  • Create and lead optimization projects for the extrusion, thermoforming, and injection molding processes by identifying, validating, and implementing continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Identify and drive projects to reduce costs, eliminate waste, and improve process capabilities, as well as to improve product quality and workplace safety.
  • Establishes process and process capability standards for all plastics processing equipment.
  • Conduct process audits to support process capability in support of product quality efforts.
  • Assist manufacturing and maintenance teams to troubleshoot automation and plastics production equipment issues by identifying root causes and implementing sustainable corrective actions.
  • Lead implementation and validation of all new plastics processing equipment and tooling projects.
  • Analyze and improve manufacturing processes through root cause analysis and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Develop project schedules to ensure timely completion of engineering tasks and initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards while maintaining a focus on lean manufacturing principles.

Basic qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics, or Materials Engineering.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in industrial engineering and process engineering.
  • Familiarity with CAD software, including SolidWorks.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing environments, particularly with plastics injection molding and assembly lines.
  • Understanding of robotics applications in manufacturing settings.

Pay: From $78,000.00 per year
