Process Engineer

Job description and responsibilities of the proposed candidate(s):

Project work:

 Process design, development and implementation of capital projects.

 Provide support & guidance to the team to meet daily work demands.

 Work with a multi-functional team to execute Projects within allotted timelines & budget.

 Review flow diagrams, P&IDs, material & energy balance

 Review equipment list, equipment drawings and datasheets, Technical bid analysis (TBA) etc.

 Inspection, installation and commissioning of equipment in production plants and utility.

 Technical discussions with vendors regarding new requirements.

 Help the purchasing team to technically understand the product details.

 Conduct HAZOP for projects.

 Participate in DCS related activities (logic/recipe preparation and interlocks preparation).

 Monitor Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) and provide suitable

clearance.

 Carry out commissioning of the projects and handover to operations team.

 Build and train Process Team to support both project and scale-up activities.

 Provide assistance in modification jobs and troubleshooting in existing systems.

Support R&D and Production:

 Material and Energy balance calculations for reactions

 Scale up of batches from lab to pilot scale to plant scale

 Conceptualization and designing of trial batches incorporating equipment, piping and instrument selection and modification

 Successful handover of new products to operations team

 Initiate productivity & efficiency improvement in existing set ups with minimal investments

 Identify & manage resources to execute process improvement projects.

 Develop new processes for high efficiency & cost effectiveness.

 Analyze, optimize and troubleshoot current processes to meet all customer & internal requirements.

 Coordinate and plan with various cross functional areas to ensure successful implementation of

ideas.

 Ensure compliance with company & industry standards.

 Any other work assigned by management from time to time.

Required Experience:

2-6 years in Pharma, API
