Job Summary
The Exam Proctor administers and supports assessments for students who receive approved testing accommodations. This role ensures exams are delivered in accordance with instructor instructions and accessibility guidelines while maintaining a secure, appropriate testing environment. Proctors monitor exams, manage timekeeping, and serve as an on-site or remote resource to address questions or issues that arise during testing.

Job Description

Essential Functions

  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
  • Administers exams for students with approved accommodations, following instructor instructions, accessibility guidelines, and institutional procedures.
  • Monitors testing sessions to maintain academic integrity, appropriate testing conditions, and accurate timekeeping throughout the exam period.
  • Communicates clearly with students, faculty, Accessibility Services, and program partners to support smooth exam administration and address issues as they arise.
  • Maintains accurate documentation and files related to scheduled assessments in accordance with program requirements.
  • Supports daily proctoring operations by monitoring exam schedules, arriving promptly for assignments, and serving as a reliable on-site or remote resource.
