the largest US manufacturer of roller coasters and thrill rides, is seeking a full-time Procurement Assistant to provide clerical and administrative support to the Purchasing Department.


Procurement Assistant


The Procurement Assistant provides essential clerical and administrative support to the Procurement Department, contributing to the efficient operation of procurement activities. Key responsibilities include preparing and updating purchase requisitions, coordinating with vendors regarding lead times and delivery issues, and addressing inquiries from internal departments. This role plays a critical part in maintaining an organized workflow within the department and ensuring timely and accurate communication across teams. The Procurement Assistant serves as a liaison between the company and its suppliers, facilitating delivery schedules, expediting shipments, and resolving issues related to shortages or late deliveries. Additionally, this position collaborates closely with various departments to address questions related to parts, approvals, applications, product changes, and manufacturing challenges. The individual will work directly with Procurement Specialists and the Supply Chain Manager to support departmental goals and ensure smooth procurement operations.

Responsibilities

  • Foster and maintain effective relationships with vendors.
  • Process purchase orders accurately and promptly.
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal departments to support procurement activities.
  • Monitor and update reports related to active purchase order discrepancies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma preferred; associate degree or relevant experience is a plus.

  • Familiarity with procurement or purchasing processes is advantageous.
  • Effective communication skills across departments and functions.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities and departmental needs.
