Job Description
Zararah General Transporting Company L.L.C is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Procurement Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will support procurement operations, manage supplier coordination, and ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing of materials and services, especially within the transportation and logistics sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services
- Maintain and update supplier database and procurement records
- Coordinate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs
- Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment
- Prepare purchase orders and track delivery schedules
- Compare prices and evaluate supplier quotations
- Ensure compliance with company policies and UAE regulations
- Support cost-saving initiatives and improve procurement efficiency
- Handle communication with vendors via email and calls
Requirements
Experience:
- Minimum 2+ years of UAE experience in procurement
- Experience in transportation or logistics industry preferred
Education:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
License:
- Valid UAE Light Vehicle Driving License (Manual/Automatic) – Mandatory
Technical Skills:
- Strong expertise in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data analysis)
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and general office tools
Soft Skills:
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
