Procurement Assistant

Job Description

Zararah General Transporting Company L.L.C is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Procurement Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will support procurement operations, manage supplier coordination, and ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing of materials and services, especially within the transportation and logistics sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services
  • Maintain and update supplier database and procurement records
  • Coordinate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment
  • Prepare purchase orders and track delivery schedules
  • Compare prices and evaluate supplier quotations
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and UAE regulations
  • Support cost-saving initiatives and improve procurement efficiency
  • Handle communication with vendors via email and calls

Requirements

Experience:

  • Minimum 2+ years of UAE experience in procurement
  • Experience in transportation or logistics industry preferred

Education:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field

License:

  • Valid UAE Light Vehicle Driving License (Manual/Automatic) – Mandatory

Technical Skills:

  • Strong expertise in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data analysis)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and general office tools

Soft Skills:

  • High level of integrity and professionalism
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
