Job Title: Procurement Assistant

Job Summary
The Procurement Assistant supports the procurement department in sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating construction materials, equipment, and services required for project execution. The role involves maintaining supplier records, preparing purchase documents, tracking deliveries, and ensuring timely procurement to support site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in sourcing construction materials, tools, equipment, and subcontract services
- Prepare and process purchase requests, purchase orders, and quotation comparisons
- Coordinate with suppliers for pricing, availability, and delivery schedules
- Follow up on material deliveries to ensure timely supply to construction sites
- Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, and documentation
- Compare quotations and assist in vendor evaluation and selection
- Coordinate with site engineers, storekeepers, and project managers regarding material requirements
- Monitor pending orders and update procurement status reports
- Ensure purchased materials meet project specifications and quality standards
- Assist in negotiating prices and delivery terms with suppliers
- Support invoice verification and coordination with accounts department
- Maintain proper filing of purchase orders, invoices, delivery notes, and contracts
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures
Required Skills
- Knowledge of construction materials and procurement procedures
- Good negotiation and communication skills
- Organizational and documentation abilities
- Basic knowledge of inventory and supply chain processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and ERP systems
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and analytical skills
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 2–5 years of procurement experience in construction industry
- UAE/GCC experience preferred
- Familiarity with local suppliers and construction market is an advantage

Preferred Requirements
