Procurement Assistant (SCA) – Acquisition Administrative Support

Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid/Telework Eligible)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Eligibility: U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident (must meet MCC access and fitness requirements)

About the role

The Procurement Assistant provides essential administrative and clerical support to the acquisition team, ensuring complete and well-organized records, timely routing and distribution of documents, and smooth coordination of invoice and reporting workflows.

Core responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate physical and electronic files; support proper record management of CGM files in Microsoft SharePoint and other designated systems.
  • Perform administrative coordination and liaison duties with acquisition staff, program teams, and external vendors; support scheduling, correspondence, and document distribution.
  • Interface with MCC accounts payable agents and internal stakeholders to help ensure invoices are processed promptly and supporting documentation is complete.
  • Research and assemble information for reports, briefings, and meetings; maintain special records, trackers, and logs.
  • Provide office automation support using common productivity tools (word processing, calendars, spreadsheets, scanning, briefing/presentation tools).
  • Assist the MCC Director of Policy, Systems, and Training with the MCC FAC-COR/PM Program as assigned.

Minimum qualifications (required)

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 4+ years of Federal contracting or administrative support experience, including at least 1 year of specialized experience comparable to the GS-7 level.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain MCC fitness determination (Public Trust) and MCC Photo ID Badge.

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (any field) or 24 semester hours in business-related fields.
  • Strong SharePoint proficiency and attention to detail; professional communications and customer service mindset.
  • Experience supporting acquisition offices with invoice workflow coordination and file management.
