Procurement Buyer

Job Title: Plastic Buyer : Procurement

Location: Parsipanny, NJ

Pay Rate: $25/hr on W2

Duration: 06+ Months (Possibility of Extension)

Summary

We are seeking a driven, analytical and detail-oriented Buyer to join the North American plastic packaging procurement team, as part of our global procurement organization. Primary focus will be on Blow & Injection molding commodity. Responsibilities include supporting RFQs and projects, take lead in projects and supplier communication, mold management, contract negotiations, capacity planning and financial analysis. As Senior Buyer you will work with the full range of disciplines and cultures, both internally and on the supplier side. The position is located in Parsippany NJ and knowledge of supply chain and direct procurement principles is advantageous.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

1) Develop and Implement sourcing strategies for Rigid Plastic Packaging Categories

• Optimize Cost and Working Capital
• Secure Supply and Enhance Delivery Performance
• Improve Quality and Service Levels
• Manage relationships with vendors and other internal stakeholders
• Source innovation and support organizations’ sustainability measures

2) Support Operations for Category

• Set up Sourcing events
• Lead RFQs for New Projects
• Perform data manipulation and analysis using Excel
• Provide recommendations
• Improve Processes: Reckitt embraces change and improvements, Buyer will be able to propose new ways of working and implement them
