Procurement Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Engineer with a strong background in oil & gas projects. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in project procurement , vendor management, and technical evaluation of equipment and materials. Engineering background is essential for understanding project specifications and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process for oil & gas projects, including RFQs, bid evaluations, PO issuance, and delivery follow-up.
• Review and interpret engineering specifications and project requirements to ensure accurate procurement of materials and equipment.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, and construction teams to meet project timelines and budgets.
• Identify, qualify, and manage suppliers and vendors, especially for gas processing equipment and systems.
• Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with vendors to ensure best value.
• Ensure compliance with project standards, industry codes, and company procurement procedures.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve procurement-related issues.
• Prepare and maintain procurement documentation and reports.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical or similar).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement within the oil & gas industry.
• Proven experience on gas processing projects is essential.
• Strong understanding of equipment specifications, materials, and international codes/standards.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Familiar with ERP systems and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
