Key Responsibilities:
- Identify spare parts requirements in coordination with workshop, maintenance, and PMV engineers.
- Source suppliers and vendors for genuine parts for heavy equipment (e.g., Caterpillar, Komatsu, JCB, Volvo), commercial vehicles, and generators.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations, compare specifications, prices, delivery schedules, and terms.
- Prepare Purchase Requests (PRs), Purchase Orders (POs), and track deliveries using ERP systems.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, delivery notes, invoices, and warranty documents.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any supply issues or delays.
- Build and maintain relationships with trusted local and international vendors.
- Ensure purchased items meet quality standards, specifications, and compatibility with existing equipment.
- Regularly review inventory levels of critical spares to avoid shortages and equipment downtime.
- Support cost control initiatives by seeking competitive pricing and alternative sourcing options.
- Assist in auditing and reconciliation of parts received vs. ordered.
- Coordinate with the logistics team for customs clearance and transport for overseas purchases.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years experience in spare parts procurement for heavy equipment and construction machinery.
- Strong knowledge of machinery brands, part numbers, and supplier databases.
- Experience using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) for procurement and inventory.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
- Familiarity with customs regulations and import procedures (for international purchases).
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
