Job Summary:

Roots Supply Solution is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Sourcing Engineer to play a critical role in our procurement and supply chain operations. The Sourcing Engineer will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the cost-effective and timely procurement of materials, components, and services. This role requires a strong technical understanding, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives and operational needs.
• Identify and qualify potential suppliers through research, market analysis, and industry networking.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities, technical expertise, financial stability, and quality systems.
• Lead the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process, analyze bids, and conduct thorough cost comparisons.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, quality, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to understand technical requirements and ensure supplier alignment.
• Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, and address any issues or discrepancies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
• Stay abreast of market trends, technological advancements, and industry best practices in sourcing and procurement.
• Maintain accurate records of sourcing activities, contracts, and supplier performance.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to support new product development and value engineering projects.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field) is required.
• 1-2 years of experience in sourcing or procurement preferably within an oil field supplies , industrial products trading firm will be an advantage.
• Proven track record of successfully negotiating contracts and achieving cost savings.
• Strong technical aptitude and the ability to understand engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and supplier auditing processes is a plus.
• Familiarity with global sourcing and international trade regulations is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
