The Role
Duties: • Research and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers who can deliver high-quality products at competitive pricing. • Request quotes and compare prices for maximum ROI. • Purchase order creations. • Subcontract review and creation. • Creating letter of intents (LOI). • Reviewing material submittals. • Inventory management. • Supplier evaluation & interviewing vendors to learn more about their products and services, to ensure that their evaluation is correct and comprehensive. • Create and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers. • Negotiate appropriate contracts for pricing and supply. • Identity cost reduction opportunities to achieve financial goals. • Organize and update database of Suppliers, delivery times, invoices and supplies. • Work with team members, supervisors and the Procurement Manager to develop future purchasing plans and source potential relationship with vendors.
Requirements
Candidate requirements: • Bachelor´s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field. Certification in Procurement or Purchasing is advantageous. • Min 5 years of experience in procurement in the Construction Main Contracting industry. • Proficiency in procurement best practices, vendor negotiations, and contract management. • Familiarity with Abu Dhabi local procurement regulations and import/export procedures. • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple procurement tasks efficiently. • Strong communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to interact and build relationships with suppliers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
