Procurement Engineer

We are looking for qualified and experienced Procurement Engineer (Civil / Architectural) to join our Procurement Department for ongoing construction projects in Qatar
Job Summary:

Responsible for planning, sourcing, and managing the procurement of all civil and architectural materials, finishes, and subcontracted works. The role ensures full compliance with project specifications, Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), contract requirements, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review IFC drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract requirements
• Identify project procurement requirements in coordination with engineering and site teams
• Prepare and issue RFQs to approved suppliers and subcontractors in Qatar
• Conduct technical and commercial evaluations and prepare comparison sheets
• Coordinate with consultants for material approvals and compliance with QCS & project specs
• Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, warranties, and payment terms
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery in line with the project program
• Weekly progress reports on procurement activities, highlight potential delays, and propose practical solutions.
• Support variation orders and claims related to procurement items
• Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures and Qatari regulations

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil/ architectural)
• 4–8 years of experience in construction procurement within Qatar
• Strong knowledge of local suppliers and market pricing
• Familiar with QCS (Qatar Construction Specifications)
• Experience working with consultants and major developers in Qatar
• Proficient in MS Excel,AutoCAD and procurement reporting
• Fluency in English (Arabic is a strong advantage)
