The Procurement Engineer is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and procuring raw materials, components, hardware, and services required for the manufacturing of steel doors, wooden doors, fire-rated doors, roller shutters, and curtain systems. The role ensures timely procurement at competitive prices while maintaining quality, technical compliance, and coordination with production and project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review production schedules, drawings, and BOQs to identify material requirements.
  • Source and procure raw materials
  • Conduct technical and commercial evaluation of supplier quotations.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) with proper documentation and approvals.
  • Coordinate with production, engineering, and project departments to ensure material availability.
  • Track material deliveries and ensure timely supply to avoid production delays.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships and vendor database.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative sourcing options.
  • Coordinate with accounts for invoice verification and payment processing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 0 –5 years of procurement experience in manufacturing (preferably doors, shutters, steel fabrication, or building materials industry).
  • Strong knowledge of raw materials used in door and shutter manufacturing.
