Procurement Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in procurement within the engineering field, particularly in mechanical engineering. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure the best value and quality of materials.
* Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analyses and develop procurement strategies that optimize costs while maintaining quality standards.

* Purchase Orders: Prepare and issue purchase orders for materials and services, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to align procurement strategies with project requirements.
* Market Research: Stay updated on market trends and suppliers to ensure the company remains competitive in its procurement practices.
* Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
* Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and manage stock to prevent shortages and overstock situations.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Skills:
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
* Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Understanding of mechanical engineering principles and materials.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
