Role Overview

The Procurement Engineer will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process for MEP projects, including LPO preparation and issuance. The role ensures timely sourcing, cost control, and compliance with project specifications and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage procurement of MEP materials, equipment, and subcontract services.

· Prepare, review, and issue LPOs in line with approved quotations and project requirements.

· Ensure accuracy of LPO details including specifications, quantities, delivery terms, payment terms, and project references.

· Prepare RFQs, evaluate supplier quotations, and conduct technical and commercial comparisons.

· Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contractual terms with suppliers and subcontractors.

· Coordinate with project, design, and planning teams for material submittals and procurement schedules.

· Maintain and update approved supplier database within the UAE market.

· Track LPO status and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.

· Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.

· Prepare procurement reports, cost analysis, and comparison sheets for management approval.

· Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all procurement transactions.

· Coordinate with logistics, stores, and QA/QC teams for material inspection and acceptance.

· Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and UAE regulations.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / electrical engineering or related field.

· 5–10 years of procurement experience in MEP construction within the UAE.

· Strong experience in LPO preparation and procurement documentation.

· In-depth knowledge of MEP materials, suppliers, and UAE market practices.

· Experience in high-rise or large-scale construction projects preferred.

· Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.

· Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office (especially Excel).

· Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

· Strong commercial and analytical skills.
