Procurement Engineer

We're Hiring: Procurement Engineer.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Procurement Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement within the UAE construction industry, with hands-on experience sourcing both Civil and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) materials. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontract services while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and procure Civil and MEP materials, equipment, and subcontract services.
• Obtain and compare quotations to ensure the best value in terms of cost, quality, and delivery.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely procurement in accordance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Technical Engineers, and the Store Department to meet project schedules.
• Review material specifications, BOQs, drawings, and technical submittals before procurement.
• Develop and maintain relationships with approved suppliers and identify new vendors.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and material quality.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, project specifications, and contractual requirements.
• Track material deliveries and resolve procurement-related issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and purchasing documentation.
• Support cost-saving initiatives through value engineering and strategic sourcing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of UAE construction procurement experience.
• Proven experience in procuring Civil and MEP materials for high-rise, residential, commercial, and villa projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, local suppliers, and the UAE procurement market.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and ERP/procurement systems.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple procurement activities simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications.

• Existing network of reputable Civil and MEP suppliers within the UAE.
• Knowledge of local authority requirements and construction standards.
• Experience in value engineering and cost optimization.
