We are seeking an experienced Procurement Engineer/Manager to lead procurement operations and supply chain management for our organization. This role will oversee sourcing, vendor management, contract negotiations, and procurement strategy to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of materials and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven track record of managing high-value procurement projects in engineering or related sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals and project requirements.
  • Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
  • Lead contract negotiations and manage agreements with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Monitor procurement KPIs, budgets, and cost-saving initiatives while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand material and service requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans for supply chain disruptions.
  • Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including RFQs, purchase orders, supplier onboarding, and payment approvals.
  • Mentor and guide junior procurement staff and coordinate cross-functional teams for procurement projects.
  • Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and innovations to support strategic sourcing decisions.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in procurement engineering/manager-level roles.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier evaluation.
  • Proven experience with cost optimization, negotiation, and strategic sourcing.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and MS Office suite.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Locally available with QID preferred
