- Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Planning: Developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with the organization's overall goals.
- Supplier Management: Identifying, evaluating, and selecting new suppliers, as well as managing and maintaining relationships with existing vendors.
- Negotiation & Contracts: Negotiating contract terms, prices, and conditions with suppliers to secure the best value for the company.
- Cost & Quality Control: Monitoring and analyzing the cost and quality of procured items and implementing cost-saving measures without compromising quality. Market Analysis: Tracking and analyzing market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to anticipate future needs.
- Inventory Management: Coordinating with suppliers to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensuring all procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations, and maintaining accurate purchase records.
- Collaboration: Working with other departments, such as sales and finance, to understand their procurement needs and ensure smooth operations.
- Reporting: Preparing reports and presentations on procurement activities and performance for senior management.
- Required Skills & Qualifications Education: A Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is typically required. Experience: Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, market trends, and supplier performance.
- Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and prices with vendors.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Strong abilities to build and maintain relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and procurement software.
