About the Role
We are seeking a
Procurement Executive
to manage the sourcing and purchasing of chemicals, raw materials, and packaging supplies that support our trading and distribution operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the chemical industry, vendor negotiations, and import/export documentation, ensuring material availability, cost efficiency, and quality compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sourcing & Supplier Management

Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers for chemicals and related materials.

Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve optimal cost savings.

Maintain long-term supplier relationships and evaluate vendor performance based on quality, delivery, and compliance.

Research and identify new or alternative suppliers to ensure supply chain resilience.
2. Purchasing Operations

Prepare, issue, and track Purchase Orders (POs) in line with company policies.

Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve order discrepancies.

Liaise with logistics teams for import/export documentation, customs clearance, and shipment tracking.

Maintain accurate procurement data including supplier records, purchase history, and price logs.

Monitor market trends, chemical price movements, and currency fluctuations to support decision-making.
3. Compliance & Quality Assurance

Ensure adherence to company procurement and quality standards.

Track supplier performance metrics, payment terms, and delivery compliance.

Support preparation of procurement reports, dashboards, and presentations.
4. Cross-Functional Coordination

Work closely with Sales, Technical, and Operations teams to forecast demand and plan procurement schedules.

Support sourcing of specialty chemicals for new product developments.

Provide regular updates on order status, lead times, and market developments to stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in
Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration
.

2–3 years of procurement or supply chain experience
, ideally within the
chemical trading or manufacturing sector
.

Knowledge of
chemical raw materials

import/export regulations
, and
procurement documentation

Proficiency in
MS Office
and
ERP systems
(SAP, Oracle, or similar).
