1. Role Summary

The New Vendor Development Executive will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, onboarding, and managing new vendors to strengthen the company’s supply base. The role focuses on cost optimization, quality assurance, timely procurement, and long-term vendor relationships aligned with business and tender requirements.

2. Education

  • Technical Education - B.Tech (Electrical/Mechanical)

3. Key Responsibilities

Vendor Identification & Sourcing

  • Identify potential vendors/suppliers through market research, industry networks, exhibitions, online platforms, and referrals.
  • Develop a strong vendor database aligned with company requirements and government tender specifications.

Vendor Evaluation & Onboarding

  • Evaluate vendors based on price competitiveness, quality standards, delivery capability, certifications, and compliance.
  • Coordinate vendor onboarding, including documentation, compliance checks, and approval processes.

Negotiation & Cost Optimization

  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and service-level agreements to achieve cost efficiency.
  • Benchmark vendor pricing against market standards and competitors.

Coordination with Internal Teams

  • Work closely with Purchase, Tender, Sales, Quality, and Finance teams to align vendor capabilities with project and tender needs.
  • Support tender submissions by ensuring vendor documents, quotations, and technical compliance are in place.

Vendor Performance Management

  • Monitor vendor performance related to quality, delivery timelines, and service.
  • Resolve vendor-related issues and implement corrective actions when required.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure vendors comply with statutory, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain updated vendor records, agreements, and pricing data.

Market Intelligence

  • Track market trends, new suppliers, alternative materials, and emerging technologies.

4. Qualifications & Skills Required

Education

  • Technical Education - B.Tech (Electrical/Mechanical)

Experience

  • Experience in vendor development, procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management preferred.
  • Exposure to government tenders and e-procurement is an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with cost analysis and comparison capabilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and vendor management tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple vendors simultaneously.

5. Reporting Structure

  • The New Vendor Development Executive will report directly to the Managing Director.

6. Location

  • Location: Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.

7. Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: As per industry standards and experience.
  • 12 public holidays.
  • 24 earned leaves per year (2 per month); unused leaves reimbursed, excess leaves deducted.
  • Sunday off.
  • Compensatory off/adjustments for work on Sundays or public holidays.
