This is a technically demanding procurement role requiring familiarity with aerospace-grade materials, long-lead-time components, and the regulatory landscape governing aviation training equipment. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, production, finance, and quality assurance teams to ensure uninterrupted supply at the best total value.

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers of composite materials (carbon fibre, fibreglass, resins, honeycomb cores), simulation hardware, electronic components, and general MRO supplies.
  • Develop and maintain an approved supplier base aligned with quality, delivery, and compliance standards required for aviation training equipment.
  • Process purchase requisitions and convert them to purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage end-to-end procurement cycles from RFQ/RFP issuance to purchase order placement, goods receipt, and invoice clearance.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records including supplier contracts, purchase orders, delivery notes, and certifications.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse and production planning teams to align material deliveries with manufacturing schedules.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with local and international suppliers to achieve optimal pricing, payment terms, and contractual conditions.
  • Analyse price trends in aerospace raw materials and electronics markets to support cost forecasting and budgeting.
  • Identify and deliver cost reduction and value engineering opportunities without compromising product quality or regulatory compliance.
  • Liaise with engineering and R&D teams to source new materials and components for prototype and production programmes.
  • Support the project management team with procurement timelines and material availability for new simulator build schedules.
  • Work with the finance department on payment processing, supplier reconciliation, and month-end accruals.

Must have:

  • 3–6 years of procurement experience, preferably within aerospace, defence, composite manufacturing, or industrial equipment sectors.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (CIPS, CSCP, CPSM, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated experience sourcing technical materials and components from both local UAE/GCC suppliers and international vendors.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) for procurement workflows.
  • Proven track record of successful supplier negotiations and cost savings delivery.
