Procurement Expeditor (Emirati Talent)

Job Summary

The Procurement Expeditor is responsible for ensuring that purchase orders are fulfilled on time, in full, and in compliance with contractual requirements. This role serves as a key liaison between suppliers, procurement, logistics, and internal stakeholders to track orders, resolve delays, and maintain smooth material flow. Key Accountabilities

• Follow up with suppliers to confirm order status, production progress, and shipment schedules
• Expedite delayed or at-risk orders to meet project or operational timelines
• Communicate delivery updates, delays, and risks to procurement, planning, and project teams
• Verify supplier compliance with contract terms, specifications, and delivery requirements
• Coordinate with logistics, warehousing, and quality teams on shipping, inspections, and documentation
• Maintain accurate order status records in ERP or procurement systems
• Resolve issues related to shortages, late deliveries, damaged goods, or incorrect shipments
• Support supplier performance evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives
• Prepare expediting reports, KPIs, and status updates for management
• Problem-solving and negotiation skills
• Data analysis and reporting

Educational and Experience Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field
• 2-5 years of experience in procurement, expediting, supply chain, or materials management
• Strong understanding of procurement processes and supplier management
• Proficiency in ERP systems (preferable SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
• Experience in manufacturing, construction, oil & gas, or engineering projects
• Knowledge of international shipping and Incoterms
• Familiarity with quality inspections and documentation requirements
• Professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is an advantage
