Procurement Lead

Job Description:

A. Strategic Sourcing

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for raw materials, packaging, indirect spend, and services.

• Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers locally and internationally.

• Lead RFP/RFQ processes, conduct negotiations, and finalize commercial agreements.

• Perform market research to track price trends, supply risks, and benchmarks.

B. Toll Manufacturing Management

• Identify and assess potential toll manufacturers for capability, capacity, and compliance.

• Manage tolling agreements, SLAs, and production plans with external partners.

• Coordinate with Quality and Operations to ensure adherence to specifications.

• Monitor toll manufacturers’ performance, yield, and cost alignment.

C. Supplier Relationship & Performance Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.

• Conduct supplier scorecards, reviews, and improvement plans.

• Resolve supply disruptions, quality issues, or delivery delays.

D. Cost Optimization & Value Engineering

• Drive cost-saving initiatives including multi-sourcing and TCO reduction.

• Analyze cost breakdowns and negotiate competitive pricing.

• Support value engineering and SKU improvement initiatives.

E. Risk Management & Compliance

• Identify and mitigate procurement risks across supply and pricing.

• Ensure adherence to procurement policies and ethical sourcing standards.

• Maintain documentation for audit readiness and compliance.

F. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work with Operations, Quality, R&D, Planning, and Finance teams.

• Participate in S&OP processes to align procurement with demand.

• Support NPD through supplier scouting and material sourcing.

G. Reporting & Analytics

• Track KPIs including savings, OTIF, lead times, and supplier performance.

• Maintain accurate ERP data and procurement documentation.

• Prepare weekly and monthly reports for management.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Engineering, Business, or related field (master’s preferred).

• 4–7 years of procurement experience in FMCG, food, or industrial sectors.

• Expertise in sourcing, negotiations, and supplier management.

• Experience in toll or contract manufacturing preferred.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
