Key Responsibilities:

Conducting market research to identify potential and new suppliers who can meet the company’s needs.

Maintaining strong supplier relations.

Request quotes and negotiate contract terms with vendors, including price, delivery schedule, and payment terms and reviewing contracts for legal conformity and company policies and procedures compliance.

Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements.

Following up with vendors to ensure that orders are delivered on time and within budget parameters.

Monitor and evaluate supplier performance according to key business criteria and resolve issues and concerns.

Analyze industry and demand trends and support senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies.

Liaising with internal stakeholders on new projects.

Analyzing costs and recommending ways to reduce expenses by identifying opportunities for process improvement or technology enhancement.

Preparing reports on expenditures and analyzing trends in spending to identify areas of potential waste or abuse.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and developments, in order to identify new opportunities and mitigate risk.
Academic and professional qualifications
:

BSc/BA in Business Administration, Supply chain management or equivalent field.
Experience:
-
Proven work experience from 3-4 years in meat industry is a must in the same role.

Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies.
