Procurement Officer

Jascon Engineering is urgently seeking a qualified and experienced Procurement Officer with a strong background in the Oil & Gas construction and maintenance sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the purchasing process of materials, equipment, and services, ensuring reliable sourcing, cost-effective contracts, and timely delivery to support ongoing Oil & Gas projects. This role demands excellent negotiation, organizational, and communication skills, along with in-depth knowledge of procurement practices within the Oil & Gas industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and services for Oil & Gas construction and maintenance projects.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve cost efficiency and timely delivery.
• Ensure compliance with Oil & Gas industry specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and updated pricing lists.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to determine project purchasing needs.
• Track purchase orders, monitor deliveries, and resolve issues related to delays or discrepancies.
• Build and maintain long-term supplier and vendor relationships to ensure reliable procurement.
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field.
• 4–6 years of proven experience in procurement within the Oil & Gas construction and maintenance industry.
• Strong knowledge of Oil & Gas construction materials, equipment, tools, and vendor sourcing.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform under pressure.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR3,500.00 - QAR5,500.00 per month
